Roguelites tend to be weaker in the narrative department, but Hades makes sure that its story is as finely tuned as the rest of the experience. As the player battles out of Hell, there's a cast of colorful characters that have their own development over the course of the experience. However, the special part of Hades is that the trademark storytelling of SuperGiant Games remains a strong point. It takes all the best parts of the studio's previous titles and combines them with an expertly crafted rogue-lite. In a world of samey, top-down action roguelites, SuperGiant Games delivers an experience above any level of expectations with Hades. With a fun story and rock-solid gunplay, this FPS is enjoyable both in single-player or multiplayer. Players also get to create their own characters and class, which is a nice change from the Borderlands trilogy.
While there are some differences from the mainline entries, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is still ultimately a first-person shooter with some light RPG elements.
